So I’m about to start my interview process for Capital One next week for a Senior Financial Analyst position. My recruiter going give me a prep call on Friday but I wanted any advice that recruiters don’t tell you during the interview process. Also I wanted to ask if Capital One a decent place to work at. I will be working at the one in McLean Virginia if that helps.

Use null hypotheses - easier to demonstrate against. Descriptive statistics (use the analysis toolpak). Also - who doesn't love a good pivottable and pivotchart to visualize those hypotheses? Use IFERROR to eliminate div/0 errors.
Spend a lot of time developing actionable hypotheses that can be tested by the dataset presented. Working against hypotheses will keep you focused.
Even better if you can turn the dataset into a workable model to run sensitivity analyses that would update dynamic graphs.
Also maybe do some prework on issues the company or their industry is facing. Pulling in external perspective would be flashy.
