I’m currently working in Citi as an AVP in Mumbai for the past 9 months.. due to personal reasons I wanted to move back to Pune (I have worked in Pune for last 8 years before coming to Citi) so I landed up with an offer from HSBC into Wholesale IT (GCB5).
My current Fixed CTC in Citi is 26.5 excluding PF and Retrials and HSBC IT has offered me 30.5 for the same and said they cannot increase further as am moving jobs in after 9 months which is too early..

Have I been low balled?
I have an offer from Capco, it was much lower then I expected for the SC level EA at £80k. I'm at a stable role at a bank with a great WLB. My wife is a front line work. So I can take care of the baby, with the next coming soon. My dilemma is, become a consultant or stay where I am at. Consulting looks attractive as I would be speed up my career progression. Though the travel costs and child care does not warrant the base salary Capco Should I take the hit and join capco?

What should you do? Seriously? You’re an auditor... how about trying some basic math and then ✅ the box on the job offer.
um
That is the opposite of hard.
Ask for a counter offer, if your firm says no...leave. I made the decision for you. You’re welcome
U could always try to get a counter offer but not sure how open big4 are to countering regional firms
This is an easy decision
Take it and run
Take that offer!! It’s a no brainer.
What level senior?
Yup, senior
So yes? Urgh this is so hard
I meant what year of being senior?
Break out the insurance/benefits amounts and compare the firms...you may* end up having to pay more for insurance that the Big 4 usually subsidizes vs regional
Take the higher paid offer. You can always go back to Big 4 in a few years at a higher grade... assuming you want to. I left and came back
Take it
