Waiting for the Avon shit storm LOL

Sooo AMC.. who’s in?
😂
What is wrong with people these days?

Thought this was interesting. Across 160 teams of researchers, just about all failed to make good life outcome predictions on things like GPA, evictions, layoffs, and others. Data followed 4.5k families across 15 years, with 13k features (varied over time). Haven't looked at it directly yet, but will be turning the docs and data inside out... In the meantime, authors claim this as showing the limits of ML. Oh, and it's published in PNAS, so you know there's some big publication energy there.

Is that a realistic figure? I’m a Big 4 M&A SC with 7 years in tech and 3 at Big 4.
For the right skill set, sure. But Glassdoor is showing me a lot lower total comp numbers.
what would you at Netflix op? with your m&a background? asking cause I have a similar background and I didnt find a ton of relevant positions .
Yeah, I had the same doubts. I might be able to sell my general tech PM experience across different projects. I don’t know. I didn’t do any research about “role fit” yet. Just wanted to understand the veracity of the comp figures first.
One of my friends joined a trading firm as a programmer for $700k base ..it is also dependent on the skill set ... all these numbers are outliers
Delotte employs 300k people while netflix employs 7k. Everyone "should" work for big tech but there are only so few spots.
