Which company would you join?
I currently work in Sales with the intention of moving over to marketing in the near future. I received two offers for BDR/SDR roles from Sprout Social and Gong. Both salaries are around the same (Gong - base 63k + anticipated $25k in commission, Sprout - 55k base + anticipated $25k in commission).
I like both companies’ software and it extremely hard to decide which position will get me into marketing faster as it is not a traditional BDR path to take.
Help!

PwC US (Workforce Transformation)- YMMV based on project but for the most part our projects are truly 40h/week. Leadership top down messaging is big on flexibility and personal well-being. Happy to chat more if you’re interested, we’re hiring!
I’m switching over from Deloitte Consulting and work life balance was very much emphasized during the recruiting process :) PwC seems like a good spot to be at for human capital right now!
Slalom! The big 4 are a grind but slalom has been a breath of fresh air
The only with slalom is they don’t hire unless hey have a project to put you in directly , so they interview but sometimes can’t actually hire you! Or don’t know when they can
To be honest, this coming from someone who has spent time with two big 4 firms (Deloitte and PwC), they’re all the same in terms of bad work life balance. That’s the nature of the game in consulting. If you want wlb, you’re better off looking for a change or talent role in the industry. I’ve moved to the industry and while it’s very slow (especially coming from a fast paced environment like consulting), the wlb is amazing.
I just felt pretty mindless in this last place, not even so much wlf but just like I’m a factory worker vs a knowledge worker, now time to think and do something useful just like productive useless decks
EY PAS!
An MD I spoke with said we have bad leadership who make bad decisions about people’s development and in terms of progressing the good performers further. I feel like the good ones can now leave because the PAS leadership hasn’t recognized their contributions as much as the PPMDs who work with them have. Hence the brain drain.
Also PAS is a weird amalgamation of Consulting and Tax. Many groups DO NOT work well together because the services aren’t at all related. It’s a mess.

Deloitte HC culture is pretty good. UK based so can’t speak for elsewhere though
Come to WTW! Let’s be colleagues!
Are you still at Accenture? You could do a fellowship with Kate Kessler.
Oh I left! Ran actually!
Which city are you at OP?
New York
Deloitte HC (HRT-Advisory) Canada is great 😊
Second EY PAS! Also disagree with the “they’re all the same” sentiment. I wouldn’t even say that all the service lines and sub service lines at EY are homogenous, let alone when compared with other firms.
Do you have insight on the “leadership at EY PAS being bad” comment?
Why was it so bad? I am talking with an accenture recruiter for similar role. Should I run??
I was warned about Accenture too, yes consulting work can often be a grind but there’s levels and cultures and Accenture isn’t paying more than the other firms and it’s not like you are getting brand name like McKinsey to say you will do it for that for a few years, so it didn’t add up as worth it for me. If I was at a BCG/McKinsey I could justify that I’ll do it and quit just to boost future prospects or if the pay was extremely high (in my case honestly I’m too old to do bs for little more cash
PwC is solid
Plz elaborate
