Hey guys! Went to college with full intention of getting into medical school. Graduated right before the pandemic which gave time to think long and hard about going to med school. Decided I was doing it for all the wrong reasons, and am trying to pivot into consulting. I’ve reached out to hundreds on LinkedIn, which lead to a few referrals, but have heard nothing back from any firms. Anyone willing to help me out with some advice and guidance?

I got a job as a infrastructure consultant right out of college 3 years ago and later became a solutions architect at the company I am at now. I have a degree in CS and never really got the chance to use my programming skills (Java, python, Springboot framework). I’m finding that I’m not really in to platform engineering or cloud infrastructure and would like to pivot to software/app development. And suggestions on where I could get started on making this transition?

There budget was upto 10 when i asked but feels like they playing me for my desperation to start working.

Recently got a contract job at Facebook NY.
