Hey 🐠,

I am approaching the Roth IRA income limit, and have a pre-existing Roth IRA that was not converted from a traditional account. Is there a way for me to take advantage of the backdoor Roth loophole while funneling the money into my current Roth? Or, do I have to set up a new account, convert it to Roth, and make all future contributions into that account? I’ve already asked my broker, and they have not been the least bit helpful. Thanks!

Your question is a bit confusing but this is what you need to do for a backdoor.
1.) Open a tradition IRA account.
2.) Contribute to it.
3.) Convert those contributions to either a new or existing Roth IRA account.

Immediate. If you use Vangaurd you will see an option to convert to Roth as soon as the transfer clears.

The only potential tax implications is if you have any rollover IRA accounts from previous 401k

No previous 401ks - I’m still on my first employer

Hi Fishes,

My wife is getting transferred to California from India and she is offered 143k.

How much she can get after tax deduction and all? How much she can save after all the expenses?

She is insisting that I travel with her and get the job in the US. I'm a software developer having 4.1 YOE. How much can I get in the US? Is it worth traveling with her?

Any information would be helpful, Thanks in advance...

Please help? For those of you who have added authorized users to your credit cards, what’s the best way to track/summarize the spending? Looking to add my little sister but would like to be able to see her stuff separately from mine. From what I understand, this feature is not “easily/directly” available as a standard offering since everything is clubbed together in the statement. Thanks for your help 🙏

Hi Fishes/Seniors,

I have few queries can anyone please help me regarding this.
In ELSS mutual the total we can save save tax is 1.5lakh. Do we need to invest yearly 1.5 lakh yearly to save tax? I am planning to have a Sip of 5000 monthly for 3 years. So total money invested in 3 years will be around 60000 * 3 = 180000.
Will that be sufficient to save tax or Do I need to have a sip of 12000 per month to save tax.

There's a debate about this going on in the Google bowl, which I find interesting. Most people are saying they don't have a problem with this, but I think it's deeply unfair.

The argument that resonates with me is that if you move to a LCOL city the value of your output isn't all of sudden worth 25% less.

Curious what others in the industry think.
