Idk where to put this aside from here but: I want to look at grad programs, but my gpa is abysmal. But yet, before I graduated, I was actually interviewed but Google/FB/Microsoft/Amazon for SDE roles.

Anyone have any experience with GS recruiting process? I just finished my first round and the interviewer told me what the second round would be, asked if he could use my case study, and then suggested I speak slower next time so the next interview could follow it on pen and paper. Thought the process is round 1-2 behavioral and 3 is case study?

Need job referrals. Im a soon to be graduate and having a hard time getting interviews. Only two I got an interview for the ones I had a referral . So anyone willing to give job referrals for companies ?

My company was acquired last year & new terrritoy assignments were made Jan 1st. The old AEs had until the end of Jan to close out deals they were working to receive 100% commissions & quota relief. The new AE taking over received 50% comm if the deals closed in Jan. After Feb 1st, the new AE taking on the account received 100% comm and the old AE received nothing. The two deals I had worked for months and in procurement Feb 1 close last week at 445k & $399k. $60+k comm to new AE - $0 to me. 😩

Fellow enterprise tech sales fish, I’m interested to hear your perspective. I’ve been in a rut lately and seriously considering leaving sales. I think it’s primarily fueled by one thing:
After a 6 mo cycle I closed a large deal (4x the average deal size) prior to receiving delayed 2022 comp plans. The deal counts as a 2022 deal. On last years comp plan it would’ve paid out at 10%. This year it pays out at a measly 4%.

How do you/have you navigated your way through and out of these situations?

I have been with my company 20+ years. This past year they did a sales market restructure - directions from new upper management. The restructure has been less than favorable toward my commission goals. The coming years don’t look promising. There are sales people making $$$ only here 1-2 years because they were given all my opportunities. It is hard to leave this company - it has been great until now with the changes. I have a very strong job offer elsewhere - but worried about non compete.

I had an interview for an Enterprise AE role and towards the end the HM said, “I think you’d be a great fit. I want you to move forward here, but I’m not sure if you’re b2b or Enterprise” At my last gig, this happened and they sold me on the less senior role by saying “it’s essentially the same role”(which obv, isn’t true; it just pays less). How do I vet in this situation situation to avoid getting screwed?
