Although Amazon has instituted a hiring freeze and layoffs are probably on their way, I went through the loop for a security engineer position at AWS. Before I attended the final interviews, Amazon placed the hiring freeze and called me to ask if I wanted to go ahead or cancel my application. I decided do go ahead Right now I'm waiting for their response and the position I applied to changed from "under consideration" to "no longer under consideration". Thoughts?

Do any of the MBB’s do DD for VC clients?
Bain & Company I’m currently prepping for Bain & Company and McKinsey & Company interviews scheduled in the next 2 months. For those that interviewed with both, how would you suggest I tailor my preparation for each one? I understand McKinsey is interviewer led while Bain is the opposite. But other than that, is there anything else I should work on separately for each one?

Compensation is fixed, you can only negotiate level. Expect ~200K TC roughly as a new C. I'll let someone from BCG speak to responsibilities as it differs there a bit from Bain.

C1 - All in TC is ~230K
C2 - All in TC is ~240K
This includes base, bonus and profit sharing. This does not include any sign on or relo bonuses. Like B1 said, comp is fixed but relo may be negotiable.
In terms of responsibility you will be brought on as an IC, similar role to an SC at Deloitte.

Thanks all! I’m actually not at Big 4 - my title EY was due to a prior internship. Currently a recent grad at an industry analytics/strategy role, and if I hope to pivot into mbb later on without an MBA, how many years should I accumulate at the min to come in at the BA/associate/AC level? Interviewed with mck and bain final round last year but didn’t make the cut, and may be interested to transition into consulting after a while

Is this common? Manager at Deloitte to Consultant at BCG as opposed to PL?
It used to be common but recently given demand we (and what seems to our peers too) are brining in people at the same level (perhaps with less tenure, but mgr->mgr).
