Hey San Francisco Fish, I just got an offer that's based in SF (and I'm currently in the South). So I guess my question is, how do you live? Where do you live?

Are there any tips you all have around the different neighborhoods or...how much money I should expect to spend on living? 😬

There are tons of neighborhoods with different price points / community vibes / living space in the city, and lots of people who work in the city live in surrounding counties.

What kind of housing (studio, apt, house etc) are you thinking, what size, neighborhood type (i.e. high rises, urban residential, suburban)? Also - how do you plan to commute, and will you have a car? If you know, I can help give a better price estimate.

Roommates are super common in SF especially at 26. Would also recommend. Not sure where you work but sounds like you want Russian or knob hill. The marina is fun and there will be absolute smokes there but you won’t be able to walk to work (most likely). The mission is more affordable but kind of far from things. At 26 I would not consider doing anything except living in SF if you like to go out.

Love how BS credit score is. Got my score up to 800 last month only to go on vacation so my credit utilization went up to 8% due to the increased spending and my score dropped 35 points because I didn’t immediately pay the balance after charging the purchases. I always pay my balance in full each month and have never missed a payment, how is 8% credit utilization determined to be that big of a risk that my score got immediately wrecked, I don’t understand

I don’t get it: Why would anyone invest, for example, in a 6% dividend yield etf with a 0.50% ER (ie EMHY) instead of a 9% dividend yield etf with a 2.5 ER (ie YYY)? Wouldn’t you still be getting better results with the expensive one?

This one is going to make some of y’all mad, but it’s so annoyingly unnecessary. The most irritating part is “is it a shirt day or a skirt day”…. Like women don’t wear shirts with skirts and men don’t wear shirts with pants. Shirts and skirts are not mutually exclusive. I’ll just leave this here.
