Hey! So I received a verbal offer for a new job in the RA/QA field for medical device manufacturing, and I intend to negotiate a counter offer for the salary given. The salary they offered is about 15-20% below where I would expect the job to be based on the description, experience requirements and that it's work for multiple site locations. Should I aim for that 20% and expect them to bargain me down, or should I try shooting above the 20?

I’m a former forensic scientist that left the field several years ago. I recently received a subpoena from a case I worked and suggested to DA to have evidence re-worked by the lab or stipulation. If I am required to testify (as an expert witness), I would need to book a flight, hotel, etc. My question is this: can I ask for my requested hourly rate, travel, and hotel to be covered when speaking with DA or is that “not how this works” as the investigator put it?

New to TX and got pulled over on my way home from the grocery store. Cop gave me a ticket for rolling through a stop sign. I would think cops have bigger fish to fry but apparently not. How do these things go in TX? Should I pay it and move on? Fight it? Will my car insurance go up?

Clawback clause in current contract: been in role for over 2 yrs, it was an internal move that required relocation. Relocation was approved shortly after (over 2 yrs ago) but covid meant the actual move and start of my contract with new subsidiary was delayed, I was paid by the previous subsidiary meanwhile. I got small relocation package. Would internal move be subject to a buy-out/clawback clause if I leave now and if yes, is it time in role or time under new contract? Any experience? Thanks!
