So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?

Not sure you’ll qualify for much else. The success team from my understanding has been whittled down a lot. They have a hiring freeze right now anyway.

It depends. Are you functional or technical? Do you enjoy showcasing the value and capabilities through demos + storytelling? Maybe Solution Engineer / pre-sales could be a good fit for you. If you’re implementing either declarative or programmatic solutions, consider the consulting side (CSG) at Salesforce. Salesforce recently had a massive reorg earlier in the year and we are divided by industry focused so think about what verticals you have experience or interest in.
That said, Salesforce has lowered their headcount for many of their teams. They are on a hiring freeze until TBD.

I say go for it if the right opportunity comes up. Layoffs and hiring freezes can happen anywhere
Sr. Solution consultant roles in CSG if you’re ok with still doing consulting but at SF. If you’re interested in referral DM me
