What advice would you all offer for someone who wants to make it into PM by doing a masters? I am seeing a new and emerging MS program called Engineering Management in the US helping folks get their big breaks in PM. Although for someone with 5 years of experience does it make sense to this MS or maybe MBA is more suited for PM?

I work in field sales as an IC. My aspirational career path is to end up in people leadership. Recently, an Inside management position opened up that’s been brought to my attention by the hiring director. Question is, is going back Inside the right move to get into started in leadership? Would it be difficult to get a job in IA if most of my experience has been auditing private non-404 asset mgmt funds? I really enjoy process walkthroughs when I have them though. Also, does title matter that much in IA? I’m a manager now, but based on job descriptions it looks like I might have to go for a senior auditor role because audit manager roles generally call for 8+ years from what I’m seeing. Can title be negotiated?
