Hey guys! Currently in WM ops at Morgan Stanley for the past 1 year dealing with alternative lending, I’m super underpaid with 3 years of experience which is very frustrating. (73k). Have been at Morgan for 1 year and looking to come over to JPM for an ideal pay bump, but would like to get into IB type roll. Any insight on what I should expect or how to go about applying? Maybe even getting referred? I have a deep knowledge of investments and always felt inclined to go down this route.

Citius Tech. I asked for 30LPA. HR said it's not at all a problem.
Manager was fine with my profile in 2nd round and he said he will move to next client round. HR mailed me next day like like the client band is less and working on it.

Yesterday the HR replied that they can't match my expectation and thanks for applying.

I have a month left till my GMAT. Should I start solving the official questions timed or solve more untimed until I feel more comfortable? Asking because TTP is religiously advising on untimed strategy, but I’m currently struggling with timing especially CR; untimed sessions often make me take 3-4 minutes per question (80-90% accuracy). I wanted to reschedule my hiring manager screen this week because I tested positive for covid and feeling sick with symptoms. Recruiter seemed annoyed and said hiring manager is busy for the rest of the week so I kept the original time slot. I’m in big law and on the cusp of making the jump to in-house. It sounds like the company I just interviewed with is getting ready to make me an offer. It’s definitely going to be a pay cut coming from big law but I do get some nice equity in the company. Is the jump worth it? Is it true that I have a realistic shot at HSW coming from Eastern Europe with following stats:
- median undergrad GPA at European non target engineering school but turned around performance in masters
- 700 GMAT but took it while working at McK
+ graduated with distinction in MSc engineering

+ 3 extracurricular leadership positions

Enrolled in Stern for a few weeks.
The number of the alumni and current students that go to top consulting firms FT& summer intern are countless even for a small class size.
Stern is way more than a finance school. Given its location, do you want to spend your 2 years in a rural area or heart of Manhattan? Location is almost everything for business school. (I have a friend in Cornell that frequently travels about 5 hours to NYC for events.)

What’s the difference between a 750, 760 and 770. I just took for first time and got 750. I’m confident I can bump it up. Is it worth retaking or is there no measurable advantages of 10 extra pts
