Currently am in NYC, but I was informed during my annual review that a title change was not feasible because “titles do not acknowledge the hard work I do,” yet they gave me a significant raise and bonus (85k +10k). I work in house and would like to focus more leadership and external communication opportunities. I’ve been looking since Oct and would like to return home. Any pointers?

My LWD with TCS is 10 June, I currently hold a offer of Cognizant of 18.3LPA and promise to send me at Onsite within 6 months, apart from this I have offer from TalentCafeSolution- Client JC Penny(26.85 Fixed), Infocepts (26.5LPA, 5% variable), Nice Software Solutions(25.98LPA,10% variable) , ACS Solutions(26LPA,5%), Allianz(25LPA). I am confused which should I select, trusting Cognizant and joining on less or going for one the company mentioned above.

As an experienced, SHRM certified HRBP , I would just like some feedback on your opinion of the differences in the roles between an HRBP an HR Manager besides the obvious that the manager should have direct reports. I am an HRBP and work in step with 3 HRM’s. They all 3 just got out of cycle raises of between 5-20% 😳 and I received nothing. What is the average paralegal salary in NC for a commercial real estate law office? I’ve been with a great firm for the last 9 years but am starting to wonder if I’m being compensated fairly. The company is about 30 employees (mostly attorneys) but I work primary for 4 of the attorneys.

Read that McK is paying 2K higher than BCG this year which means BCG will probably raise again next year to at least match. However, they can’t just copy McK with 2K to match because that would look bad so they’ll have to beat it again. Then McK and Bain will follow. Barring a devastating recession, I’m guessing this means MBB is all getting raises again next year?
