Joining PwC UK soon on a skilled worker visa & my offer includes a clawback policy regarding visa costs.

It mentions that I'll need to repay the costs if I resign within 2 years or terminated for gross misconduct or given a notice of termination during this period. Will this also apply in case of layoff due to market conditions owing to current UK economic situation?

Hi, received an offer from another Big4 in Amsterdam (currently working in Eastern Europe), but relocating, I’m concerned about potential layoffs in the coming period being the last to join the team.

I heard from my head that there is a lot of slowdown in VW Germany... There is Hiring freeze, level freeze and all ... And soon that will spillover to india. So be prepared for very less hikes in coming cycle :( Also automotive sector in general is struggling with tesla laying off 10% workforce recently. Maybe time to make a move? What do you say fishes?

I was just laid off. I feel lost, feeling both pumped up for the future but pained because I was a high performing, straight laced, and by the book team member. I gave my various rounds of interview in Deloitte USI 2 months ago, and since then till last Friday it was showing " interview in progress" on their job portal, HR said earlier that we are interviewing other candidates. I got an offer from Amazon last week and asked Deloitte recruiter to speed up the process, i didn't get any reply on my email but now it's showing " review in progress" on the job portal. What does it mean? Shall I wait for Deloitte offer or take Amazon's offer.
