This question is mainly for the people in that 20s and 30s. Just want to know if there is a trend and if our spending habits are taking a turn for the worse.

Most of us saw increase in our pay checks earlier this year, mainly due to resignation wave. Given how easy it is to spend money these days, have you guys noticed any changes in your spending habits? Have you started overspending or you are still mindful about day to day purchases?

I see two crowds these days. One thinks housing market will crash. The other thinks housing market will soar.

The contrarian in me makes me think this is a decent indication that housing market will stagnate (or increase minimally) for a few years.

As a general rules, I feel like the majority cannot foresee a crash/surge coming. The prevalence of such expectations would hamper the pre-conditions necessary for such a dramatic change.

Anyone from tax can help me on some tax related queries.

Q1-Can I claim LTA and LTA cash voucher both for the current Block?
Q2- In LTA cash voucher scheme i have a total expenditure of only 50K approx so how much can i get as saving for Tax?
Q3 How the above 2 can be claimed during ITR filing?

I keep selling stocks and taking loses buying other stock hoping it will recover but never did and sell again taking loses and buy again. It now sink in to me. We all know how inflation can derail our Retirement Planning dreams!!Though it's better to start investing as early as possible,but HEY, all is not lost even if you start little late. We all have our family responsibilities when we start our career, so "INVESTING FOR SELF" takes a back seat.
Just a perspective, even if someone at the age of 45 years starts investin for his retirement, he can decently manage the same with discipline and regular investing.

I was doing my own investment research when I came across multiple financial management websites suggesting really bad mutual funds.

Current FD RD rate is between 5.5% to 6.5% for 12 to 18 months. These websites are suggesting "better alternatives" of mutual funds with return rate of 3-4% for the same duration.

If this is the case of misinformation for these simple investment tools, we can't imagine how much misinformation is there for more complicated options

Question regarding tax saving -
I had bought medical insurance for my my parents and I on 17 Feb 2022 with 38K premium. Can I add this deduction in FY22-23 tax declaration.
PS - I have to show proof of payment by Jan 2023 and the next premium won't be paid before Feb. So how do I use this insurance for tax savings?
