Hi folks, I’m a Data Engineer with 1.10 yrs of experience (+6 months training, total 2.4 yrs shown), current CTC 4.5 LPA. Recently interviewed at Infosys—they initially offered 8 LPA but reduced it to 7.5 saying I don’t have 2 yrs FTE. I’m targeting a PBC next. I’ve solved 40+ LeetCode easy/medium DSA questions, but not sure how much DSA is really needed to crack top product companies. Should I accept this offer and use the notice period to prep? What CTC can I expect at this level?

I am interviewing for a compliance role in Trading and Supply. I am only knowledgeable on AML risk but the other compliance risks I do not have a clue about like licensing, privacy, market abuse etc. For example, what does licensing pertain to. Is that the trader’s licensing??

been in industry (small companies) for 5 years with an active CPA. Wanted to get in SEC reporting roles but almost every company requires 2-year public accounting exp. Now applying for public accounting firms entry level positions but almost all firms HR asked if I had ever worked in firms. Got rejection emails from firms all the time. I’m sitting here with only one demo two months after joining the company. it looks like our team has only two people doing demos, and demos are only happening once every two weeks. Thermo Fisher for Data Engineer in AWS and Python and Ameriprise as Lead Developer for Informatica Powercenter. Ameriprise is offering 50k more in my monthly salary than Thermo Fisher. My preference is to join in where I can grow and get a good learning for future career growth. Also, work life balance should be good in the organization.
