Hello buddy, let me give you an honest opinion. I am in a similar situation like you are, and mostly many of our kind would be too. It depends on the situation of the targeted city you are looking for to move in Canada. In India if you are making 26LPA and you have two kids, I am guessing you around 31-32 yrs old. At this age with a full family, I am assuming you'd be having either of the two - a car loan (which is not a burden), Or a home loan (which is a marathon) for 10 yrs, which you'd be easily able to square it off considering your income and family growth and family expenses on your kids education.
With 26 lpa which is a very good income, you will be managing a good lifestyle.
If you were to start your life in Canada, it will be worth a fortune. Of course your kids will have a brighter future than what they would be getting here. Your payscale would or would not be at the same levels depending on the profile which you are working and applying. Always do consider the purchase power parity as well when you are converting CAD to INR. Simple math could be to calculate how much time does it take for you to earn one loaf of bread in India vs Canada. Again, that depends on the city you choose to move to. You can start your research on the monthly expenses for the lifestyle you have here vs taking up a city in Canada to which falls in your list.
It will be a big step for you to move with family and establish yourself again in a new country. Roughly, it would take your one year's income to put on stake and around 1 yr in terms of time to get a PR invite.
So the parameters of your cost are -
Time - 1 yr
Money wise - 20L (preparing documents, eca, ielts, visa fees, immigration consulting fees if any, proof of funds).
Although it would be a trial for 1 yr, but it will be worth a shot. As time will pass and you might not want to live with a thought that you could've tried it.
So what I feel - time will pass anyway whether you try or not. It is rather wiser to put the time on the trial.
Money will come and go, you will always have ample of it. Desires will always be there. But trials will be exhausted with time.
The cost of trial can only be weighed against the depth of desires.
Bottomline - Would you be willing to trade your time and money for the desire. It could be a favorable trade, non favorable trade, or no trade. This was scenario 1 if you try.
Let's assume you get into an unfavourable trade. You try for a PR, you move to CA but you dont feel like continuing. There is always an option to comeback and do the same thing which you are doing.
Scenario 2- if you don't try. There is no trade.
The cost of trial can only be weighed against the depth of desires.
