As long as you have raised and manager agreed to take it to higher level, it should get fixed if yours is a genuine underpaid case compared to your peers in your team. It might not get done immediately but during mid year hike or when the market correction happens, they would ensure to fix it. Had seen this being done in the past for a lot of people in my team where they were underpaid.

@EY (Author) - I have a question. If EY had any honest intention to revise your salary, why didn't they do in this cycle? Why would they wait for you raise this concern and again make you wait until mid year?
This shows you cannot trust these organizations at all. If I were you, I would have searched for a better job and left immediately - just my opinion though.

And to answer your question, it is very very unlikely they will roll out a revised compensation letter out of cycle. If anything happens, it will be in mid year.
PS- I am not an HR but I have been here for 5+ years.
I don't think that will happen immediately
What's your current CTC now after hike? And previous CTC?

But if they fix it in next Feb hikes.... I'll still be working as a senior with staff salary until then.. Is there any chance to overcome this....can I ask them to pay arrears??

Have a couple of conversation with your manager and it will surely get fixed. If not, and if it seems that even after few months you don't get assured of market correction, you always have the option of trying elsewhere.
After every hike leaders generally look to take feedback from team and for such cases where the disappointment is real, it gets fixed that's what atleast i have seen in my current team.
