Black women made the career switch from corporate America to entrepreneurship during Covid-19. While it appears entrepreneurship was deemed a necessity, Black women were the largest group of new business owners closely followed by Latina women. These businesses have high growth potential but why is access to finding still a barrier?

Thought I'd share another leadership opportunity, this time for industry leaders in the Tech & Digital sector. Would love to connect with anyone who is a senior leader (MD / SVP) with deep experience in this sector alongside leadership experience in a TA / Growth or Client Relationship environment. Amazing opportunity to further establish and grow our presence with global leaders in Tech.

I also graduated with an IE degree and tbh you can do anything with that degree. Just find a field your into and jump into it. I also worked as an IE for a bit and it all depends on what industry. I was an IE in manufacturing and it was basically a lot of continuous improvement, ergonomics, time studies, and just dealing with problems that come up through out the day.
Hey I am from the Bay Area too, def seeing the tech boom in SF and the peninsula has made me rethink my career as well!
I got both my BS and MS in IE, and I can shed some insight on this topic.
It depends what you want to do, but since you are fresher out of college I’d say anything* at this point. With an asterisk.
Here is why:
Best for WLB/Hybrid/Remote/Outlook
1. Business Analyst/Data Analyst -> Analytics Manager/Data Scientist (Masters Preferred)
Best for/ Employee Benefits/Quick Growth:
2. Operations/Logistics/Supply Chain Analyst -> Operations/Supply Chain Manager (Masters/MBA preferred)
Best for OnSite Work/Stability
3. Manufacturing/Industrial Engineer -> ME/IE Manager (Masters/MBA preferred)
I have gotten tons of interviews by just focusing on these three paths. To each their own however. A masters if done right is pivotal; part-time, company paid, night/weekend classes.
I am also enrolled in my second masters for applied stats (Aka data science). A lot of core IE principles are embedded into Stats/Data Science! But no means this was necessary; but been recently since putting this on my resume I have been receiving a ton more interviews with data involved and evidently were remote/hybrid opps!
Id say look into Data Science/Business Analytics Masters Programs from reputable institutions they lead to a ton of jobs
