Hi, I am interviewing for Principal Product Manager at Intuit and I am told there is a case study that I need to work on. I would like to get some tips, dos / don'ts for the case study prep.

I think the most important thing they're looking for is for you to demonstrate slow, structured thinking in the case study. You should demonstrate you know how to prioritize the different components of problem-solving, and that you are oriented towards thinking back to the client or customer.

like

Thank you.

Have you tried looking on Glassdoor? I know there is a lot of valuable information on there about case studies. Best of luck to you with everything.

like

Yes, I have done all my research. There is not much information about the case study online.

The case study is common practice for all Intuit candidates, I just did my case presentation today. I'd recommend Copilot or ChatGPT to set a structure that helps you, then details, talk track and everything you can imagine. Prep the timing as this was something I worked on and I made it so concise that I had plenty of time left, but I did deliver all our most of the points they were looking for.

like

Did you get an offer? If you are available, I would love to talk with you sometime.

like

Are you being paid for the case study?

I'm not sure where you’re from, but in the U.S., interviews, including case studies, are typically not paid. If you want a job, you need to put in the effort to demonstrate your skills. We can always debate whether this is a waste of time or how companies take advantage of candidates by getting free consulting, but that's not the focus of my questions.

Do preform after being formally hired. Don't do as part of interview or after interview "show what you can do or know".

I'm not going to engage in further discussion on this. That is not the focus of my question.

What is considered a “large” caseload in employment litigation? I work at a large L&E boutique law firm and handling about 14-15 active litigation cases in state/federal court or arbitration. Some of these matters are multi-plaintiff and multi-defendant cases, but none are class actions. This does not include any matters I am handling in the charge stage or in pre-litigation. Is there any advantage to telling a company you are interested in working for in the future where you decided to accept an offer from? Or does it not matter? I accepted an offer a week ago with a great company (Company A) that for this season in my life seems like a great fit and only strengthens what I have to offer company B down the road. Company B just sent me a request for interview and I want to keep the door open with Company B but they were just very late in extending an interview.

Context: I applied for a position a while back and got interviewed, but didn’t go to the next round. I found the same position open again a month later at a different location and applied. Almost immediately, I was called for an interview, but with the same interviewer. What does this mean? Is this going to get awkward?

I have an offer accepted from Elevance 125k (Anthem) and w a good team and seems that WLB would be ok. Also, Amazon hiring manager wants to interview me for a job. Is just a hiring manager int. so obvi nothing guaranteed. Salary if offered will be more than 150k. My question is should I accept the interview and see where it goes? Is it really worth it to proceed with a company like Amazon for 25k+. I live in CA so $ is imp but I do have a toddler so WLB is also imp. Both role are Sr. MGR.
