Does your old school have any employment resources for grads, like an employment centre? Could you reach out to any of your old teachers and see if they have any possible leads to jobs?
Social Networking.
That's a common Catch-22, you can't get hired without experience and can't get experience without a job. You may need to broaden your search and apply for other roles just to get your foot in the door somewhere. And talk to any contacts you have and let them know you're looking, perhaps someone will know of a potential job.
If you just graduated! Congratulations that is awesome in its self! Believe in yourself! Where you don’t have a table to sit at create one for yourself. Sometimes we look for a job, when we need to look for an assignment. The best thing may be to look at entry level. We have all of this technology. I am a woman of faith so I prayed and God made a way. But we have all of this technology ask for a plan to get hired in your dream job. Try that and someone will be willing to teach you the ropes. For me God put someone in my life while I was working in another position to show me the ropes of HR. I ate lunch with them talked to them about how they got into it and what they liked and disliked. I networked. You have to network until your neck hurts! Be willing to listen and learn from others. Find an area that you want to make a difference in and then have faith that it will happen! Because it will the world is waiting for you! You are prepared, equipped and ready! We need you as much as you need us! You got this!
Please stay as motivated as possible. Unfortunately, the market is giving no luck to anyone. I’m within the 3-5 years range, with a SHRM-CP, PHR, and pursuing my graduate level education in the field, and I don’t have any luck either. Employers and candidates are not the same page on expectations and requirements.
