I have a first round with McKinsey next week (lateral - BA) and was wondering if anyone at the firm/also interviewing had any advice or would be open to doing a case interview with me.

The recruiter asked if I was interested in interviewing a few days ago and I want to take this seriously but don’t have a large consulting network outside of Accenture to lean on.

5th September is my last working day at Infosys. Yoe=4+ yrs

I hold an offer of 18LPA from KPMG with joining date of 7th September. (Wfh)
I applied at Workday on 15th May and went through 7 technical rounds of interview and received a verbal offer letter of 21LPA (hybrid)
Now apparently their technical panel "forgot" about the interview and wants to have a discussion again as 8th technical interview. HR says their joining date will be 19th September.

I had my 1st round of interview with Executive Director and 2 leads for Technical role. I have 2 queries-
1. How many rounds should i expect in total considering I clear everything? (I think my first round itself has technical + manger/director)
2. How long (time) will it take to get an offer?

I have a final round at another firm on Monday (fastest they can do) that I would prefer, both because of the work and the pay. Is it really bad to accept one offer and then potentially cancel it if I get a better offer a day or two later?

I am interviewing for an in-house role that I am really excited about, but they require 5 days in office. I have young kids, and these last few years of remote work and flexibility have really been crucial in helping manage it all. Has anyone else made this transition back to full time in office and do you regret it?

Asked about it and the hiring team person who reached out to me refused to share info, saying that a recruiter will share this info later in the process. LOL. I heard some lowballing offers from DoorDash and other bad recruiting practices too.

After my HR round today, Hr called up and said that will move forward with the offer but approvals with higher management might take some time as there is a hiring freeze.
Do you think offer will be released? And how much time these approvals take ?

She mentioned at the end that they are definitely going to offer as all feedbacks are positive.
But it all depends on the approvals.

McKinsey referral system glitch?

I got a referral from an EM over a month ago. He says my candidate status showed "turned down" immediately following the submission. He suspects it was because the status from my previous application to McKinsey over 2 years ago got pulled into the system automatically. I have been offered from NTT data and a week ago they gave me a call to check if i can join early.. i said i am ok to join early if NTT is ready for buyout.
