I'm trying to pivot into the project management sector but as I don't have experience within the field, it's hard to get my foot in the door. I've obtained a Google Project Management Certification and am actively working towards getting the CAPM but it would take me about a year to study and pass it with my current commitments.

Starting a new job as a Merchandising Coordinator for a large food/sales company soon… no experience in merchandising, just customer service. Any advice???

I have an interview for an in house position (only attorney) at a small non-profit focused on conservation easements. I am a transactional associate at a mid sized law firm. The prospect of freedom from the billable hour and contributing to meaningful work are the draws. The cons are that while the salary at the non-profit would only be slightly less than what I am making now, pay increases and opportunities for advancement will be much less than where I am now. Thoughts on making the shift?

Guys I am from Texas, USA. The last time I appeared for an interview was 10-11 years ago. I work in Java and related tech.
