Hi, I’m a nurse in San Diego area. I have about +1 year of experience in inpatient nursing, and I currently work inpatient. What do you guys think is a good pay scale for non new grad, newbie nurses?

I just got offered a position at Scripps as a new grad nurse and they’re offering me about 100k so I was very pleasantly surprised. I was expecting about 80k as well, but I guess pay is starting to go up

like

The range is somewhere between $67k-85k in California. Looks like it is just slightly lower than that for the San Diego area, capping out at 82k.

like

I'd say you can expect around the 80k mark even if you're coming straight out of school. Apply to the Scripps hospitals as well as the Kaiser ones as you'll get the best benefits there.

like

You should be making atleast 80k.

As I'm moving to a new role in a small company, I have a doubt about my salary structure like the Basic salary part is only 20,000 while my take home is 62k after all deductions.

I'm concerned because the leave encashment & other things totally depends on the basic salary.

Are there not any rules for the Basic salary to be at a certain % of CTC or it depends totally on the company?

Also PF deductions they are offering only 1800 p.m but considering 20000 basic it should be 12% of 20000 right?
