Hi Fishes, I grabbed an offer at Accenture with 12 LPA fixed for Level 9. I'm not getting a retention offer from my current company at 13.5 lpa. How do I go about a counter offer with Accenture HR? Also tell me how to approach this situation smoothly.
If HR doesn't fulfill the counter offer, is it ok to accept 12 lpa fixed for Level 9 and when will I get a hike here and how much would it be approximately?
Accenture Please provide your insights. This is my first switch so I ne more exposure

Rising Star
Yes, if the HOA fees are reasonable and cover some of your utilities
Also in ATL and lived in high rises for the past 3 years. Love it - pick the right one based on your lifestyle and it’s great. Less hassle vs a house if you need maintenance etc.
Maybe not so great if you have a family. I’m single and houses were honestly too big for one
How much does a condo go for at Mayfair? Are you all thinking of living there or for rentals?
Rising Star
Maintenance fees will probably be high. So that’s a no from me.

HOA is a no for me.
Depends on the neighborhood. Yes if in midtown, no if anywhere else (but especially buckhead because the parking garage traffic tends to be worse there in my experience)
Rising Star
I don’t go over to my friends houses in midtown because there’s no parking. Like the view is cool but I like the view from my much cheaper apartment with plenty of parking and convenience

Or from my house where I have an actual driveway
If single then YES! Loved it! We moved to the burbs for the yard and to start a family.
Don’t do it
Used to live at the Mayfair in Midtown and location was great. High rise is better than low rise for sound barriers (built of concrete means you don’t hear upstairs footsteps), but parking is often harder for guests and HOA fees can be steep. Be sure you understand what fees cover, consider neighbor and street noise, and think about moving and parking options.

For me it’s a 👎 but that is because I would feel claustrophobic without a yard and green space around me. Check out how high the HOA fees are, too. But for others, it might be perfect! Depends on your lifestyle.
