McKinsey & Company Has any industry experienced candidates pivot to MBB Engagement Manager before? My roommate works at FAANG as Senior Analyst (Ops, 6+ YOE) and was approached by McKinsey & Company recruiter for an EM role. He hasn’t done consulting before. Would this be too much of a risk? His goal is to pivot to PE S&O eventually.
I’m interviewing for final round of the entry level area manager position at Amazon. I’m working on multiple stories related to the leadership principles. Can anyone provide me some tips regarding the role?
There are 16 leadership principle and I’m thinking of creating some stories around each but the thing that concerns me is what if the questions they ask are related to the same principle and I might have already used up my stories. Something like that. Can anyone please help? Amazon

Would follow up on Tuesday - probably just ran out of time on Friday
You need to be aggressive. Recruiters are busy right now and some are terrible. Looks good to be proactive and let them know you're intetested in the job.
Do not do a follow up on Monday... follow up on Tuesday
I don’t understand the advice NOT to contact the recruiter on Monday. Isn’t persistence rewarded?
Monday is the day to catch up on emails/updates/etc... that happened late Friday and over the weekend.
I would give another week and check with the recuiter. They will come back to you if they want you.
Follow up mid day on Monday. Have to be aggressive!
Follow up at 4pm on monday.
Ok thanks. It’s frustrating that hiring managers and recruiters within Booz Allen are so unresponsive and unreliable. I just need a damn project!
Don't mess with people on catch-up day. Everyone knows that's Monday (or does know now [...and knowing is half the battle. G. I. Joe!])
Back on topic now...promptly send an email to the hiring manager Tuesday morning at 9 a.m., seeing whether they may have some availability later in the week (specifically mid- to late afternoon Thursday or Friday before lunch, but obviously be flexible) to meet for a few minutes.
Most importantly: remember that the hiring manager is working. Think about it from their perspective so that you can tailor your approach accordingly. Regardless of who gets the job, they don't give a hoot about any one individual who is looking to demonstrate their eagerness for the job. Differentiate Yourself by being more than simply "assertive", and look to understand the HM's pain points, and find a reasonable and simplistic solution to helping alleviate those pain points. This is no sure-fire way to assuredly get the job, but it's definitely going to go a hell of a lot further than simply being annoying.
Oh my — this is why Consulting exists. ..follow up on Monday. If they’re too much of a puss that they find Monday inappropriate, he/she is doing you a favor by unresponsiveness. Agree with you about Booz recruiters-they are not responsive and given this it’s unclear if they do much
