Fall of last year, I had a recruiter gaslight the hell out of me for pushing back on NINE rounds of interview, as well as a personality test, and skills test. She told me it's "industry norm". I firmly but politely said I didn't think it would be a fit for me. Funny enough, she reached out to me about a month ago to say they had condensed the interview process for that job to 5 interviews and it's still not been placed. Some of these companies are losing the plot a bit and it shows.
They really are. The multiple rounds are exhausting!!
Congrats on your new role! I had five rounds at at company. It’s complete madness! The salary isn’t even enough to justify such.
Congrats on the new job! I sincerely hope you're right. I've been out of work for 3 months and just got a "thanks but no thanks" after a final round last week. Feeling pretty bummed about that still, but I'm forcing myself to keep applying anyway. All I need is one offer.
They like examples and really promote yourself. I did that yesterday so praying for good news! I hate this waiting process.
What do you mean by promote yourself? I have been wondering if I should be ad lib or sticking with the questions they ask and answer them as succintly as I can. I'm so over this process. :(
I know! Since when did every position require a month and a half interview process? To get hired at my current position. I went through seven rounds of interviews. I don’t feel like it’s that serious.
