Hiring managers are now finding out that having five to six rounds of interviews for an EA position is not necessary. We are not running for the position of presidency and it should not require that many rounds to be hired. I am happy to say that because several companies took much too long, I accepted another role that only took three rounds including the call from the recruiter. Stay positive friends, this will soon turn around for those who are job seekers!

I recently interviewed with Natwest and I got confirmation that they wanted to offer a role. Salary negotiations were started. However, now I got an email from the hiring manager that hiring for my role has been paused due to the ongoing cost of living crisis. He expects to resume the hiring for the role in Q1 '23 and would resume the process then. So is it the end? Honestly, I don't expect him to come back. But what do you think?

I’ve recently started work at a very young tech startup. Coming from a big law background, this was a huge change of pace/environment. I’m having a lot of trouble getting used to how unstructured the startup is. It feels like hire ups give a set of instructions then talk as if they don’t remember, or then decided rules A, B, C and D applies without being clear this was the case.
