If you arent vaccinated then why?
Hi all. I am trying to determine if I am being compensated fairly. I am a tax manager (about to start my second year as manager) and have been with EY since staff 1. I was promoted to manager in June 2020 (during covid) and received a 7.5% raise. The class above me has mentioned they received much higher raises during their promotion years. My base salary is now approx. 97K. Any insights would be extremely helpful. Thanks!

I'm an atheist, but can god help me too? I want to travel internationally again.
SC1 To be fair, God will help you just as much as religious people.
It’s always hilarious to me when people equate wearing masks as living in fear. I don’t live in fear of skin cancer but I put sunscreen on when I’m gonna be in the sun. I don’t live in fear of dying in a car accident but I wear my seatbelt when I’m driving. Why does taking precautions mean that people are fearful?
That's a terrible analogy. Masks are different and way more intrusive
Honestly that’s cool but don’t walk into a hospital then and ask someone to save your life if you need it. It’s not about you, it’s about us.
Holy first-world problems batman…
We are all done with it. But last I checked Covid didn’t care.
@P1 - depending on your political affiliation you might not want to say that. For example 40%+ of people in NYC and Chicago proper are unvaccinated. And vaccination rates are lowest among LatinX and African Americans.
I strongly share your view about being unwilling to mask for unvaccinated people at this point since I’m vaccinated.
At the same time the cultural meme of rural, Republican anti-vaxers isn’t really the full story on the unvaccinated. It’s more complicated than left wing media lets on.
Some of the unvaxed are consuming right wing disinformation, others had covid and have the antibodies, others are resistant because of the history of racism, others are doing a simple risk-reward assessment and choosing not to vax.
At some point (like now) we have to move on, but it’s really not as simple as “just let all the dumbass antivaxers die out so my party wins the next election”
Cool. My point is I’ve not seen any data suggesting it’s a republication issue, despite the media narrative. Your minor refinements to the #s in my original post only reinforces that.
Disagree with your first point. Agree with the second.
Think of the mask as a sun blocker… it’ll prevent you from getting a tan on your face. Don’t do it for others but yourself.
Right on OP
