Honestly, I’m done with covid. I’ve done all I can do, the rest is in God’s hands. Come at me telling me about how I don’t care about anyone but myself, x y and z. I quarantined, masked, vaxxed. What else can I do? I’m going to start living life like it’s 2019 again.

It’s always hilarious to me when people equate wearing masks as living in fear. I don’t live in fear of skin cancer but I put sunscreen on when I’m gonna be in the sun. I don’t live in fear of dying in a car accident but I wear my seatbelt when I’m driving. Why does taking precautions mean that people are fearful?

likesmarthelpfulfunny

That's a terrible analogy. Masks are different and way more intrusive

Just to clarify - I’ve been done with it. I’m just seeing all this mask stuff on the news and delta variant this and vaccine that. Who cares? We can’t live in fear forever. Everything in life has risks. Let’s get back to it.

likeupliftingsmart

Lol - Just had a baby and tested positive at the hospital and none of the above was recommended. They actually recommended the baby is best to stay with me because the best milk would be the best protection against it. Oh and since my husband was already exposed he only had to stay in my room instead of being able to go in and out.

In NC we’ve been living normally since fall of last year.

Texas - if I see a covid ima shoot it

Is it fear when you remember the hum of the cold stores set up as temporary morgues because the hospitals were overrun? Or when you put on a mask to help protect a friend’s kid who can’t get the vaccine yet?

I think we are all tired. But living in fear is very different from knowing how to manage your risks — which is also very different from denying that any change is necessary.

As a healthy, unvaccinated 30 year old male who had COVID and was sick for 3 days, COVID is over for me. It’s been over since we ended mandates in March.

I have a 99.98% chance of not dying from COVID.

Fauci is talking out of his ass because he funded gain of function. In 2017 he allowed the NIH to fund these programs. He speaks data that suit his agenda. Don’t believe me look it up.

Vax reduces chance of infection but no evidence that it reduces transmission

smart

I can’t go back… if the unvaxxed in the US want to take the risk they are rolling the dice, shouldn’t be my concern… 99% of deaths are unvaxxed, I got nothing to worry about

likefunny

Oh my god not higher levels!

Yeah I really can't feel sympathetic for people who aren't vaxxed at this point (unless they medically and legitimately can't)

You can walk into any walgreens and get the first dose immediately, along with all the actual facts. If you get sick and don't have it you're in God's hands

likefunny

People who got vaccinated with experimental liquids are falling ill and transmitting virus - what's your point about? Those not vaccinated are cautious about their lives. I've got covid and was way better than my relative of similar age post vaccination. All that BS that if one is vaccinated then no longer dangerous can well fit to public media agenda.

smart

Finally people r waking up, stop being so scared about a disease that may NOT kill you 99.7% of the time. Fear will make people easy to control

likesmart

A2, stop sharing hearsay and false information. There’s plenty of articles also saying that the viral load in vaccinated individuals is lower than unvaxed. Do better.

Yes what else could you possibly do? Not like you could keep masking, guess that’s too much to ask

Yea I'm not masking again only because some uneducated fool on Facebook is sharing posts that you'll turn into a lizard if you get the vaccine

I'm vaccinated, I wear a mask, yet still managed to get a breakthrough case that nearly put me in the hospital. I'm still feeling the effects of it as I write this.

It's not just the unvaccinated that are at risk.

In your case would you say you are happy to have received the jab?

I don’t understand why you id***s care so much about wearing/not wearing a frikkin mask?!

Why is it so hard to be vaccinated and wear a mask? at least as practical?

If you're vaccinated you can still get the virus. If you're unvaccinated you can still get the virus. You can die from it whether you are vaccinated or not. Vaccinated or not you're in a lose-lose situation 🤸‍♂️👌

I see a lot of selfish responses in this post from people who believe this is binary - vaccinated vs unvaccinated. There are vulnerable children at risk for whom the vaccines are not available yet. In many states the governors have decided that children’s lives don’t matter enough to have them wear masks. The least we can do as responsible adults and role models is protect the vulnerable. It’s one thing to have a vendetta against the idiots that opt to be unvaccinated but it’s another to also risk the lives (and other long term impacts from Covid) for the kids. Shame on you!

likefunny

Flu season typically leads to 50-200 kids dead. 500-1000 die due to car accidents with 100K injured per year. A million kids world wide due to pneumonia.

Covid killed… 25 up to Feb 21?

Protect your kids but stop acting like everyone needs to change how we live for something having a less severe impact on kids than the flu…

People need to relax and stop being so dramatic. Most of us being consultants, imagine if we kept moving goal posts all the time and didn’t actually listen to or show accurate data (exactly what govt, CDC, WHO are doing) and our client didn’t fire us. That’s what’s happening and all the sheep just go along with it bc science. So stupid.

I’m with you 100%. I’m not a libertarian, but this whole thing is bringing out some of my civil libertarian tendencies.

I’m 39, fully vaccinated, and did get COVID after being fully vaccinated - and it was like a mild cold, that I recovered fully from in 2 days. I’m supposed to change basic behavior in my life for that?

If all of the unvaccinated people in this country kill themselves off at this point, I do not care. That will leave fewer of these idiots to vote in the next election. Sorry but absolutely not sorry. Play stupid games and win stupid prizes.

likeupliftingfunny

I got a vaccine for the benefit of other people. Obviously I don't care if I get Covid or not. Pretty sure I already had it anyway. Now apparently that's not enough and I have to keep wearing a mask anyway. Why would anyone get vaccinated if it doesn't free them from wearing a mask?

like

So now the vaccinated are going to wear masks to protect the unvaccinated - who could go get the vaccine if they want.

So all of you who are vaccinated, do you realize you are supporting the work President Trump did? And if you are Democrats, are you planning to switch parties since back when President Trump promoted people getting vaccinated, as Democrats you were pushing people not to get vaccinated. Crazy how the tone changes when a democratic president is in office.

Also, for the record, this isn’t a D vs R thing for me. I’m highly confident that Mitt Romney or similar would have done a way better job.

Once again, doing “something” isn’t my yardstick for success.
