Hi everyone Google ,
I am facing interview trouble.
1. First round of interview has done
2. 2nd was scheduled on 1 july but interviewer did not join. After a few mails to hr and recruitment team one hr replied that they will reschedule it, and asked me for possible dates.
Since then i am waiting for the interview schedule as all of my given dates have been passed. I don't know how to deal with it as I don't want to miss the opportunity.
Hi Fishes, Y.O.E 7.5+ years. Tata Consultancy TCS is offering 25LPA including variable pay and everything. So just 15% increment on my current salary since they mentioned I am leaving my current organization within 1 year.
They mentioned 8-12% is VP plus 80k from that salary is paid at the end of each year. Is it a good enough salary for 7.5+ yoe candidate. Also any heads up for the things I should look out for will be really helpful.

Because titles are inflated
VP in an agency is not equivalent to VP in client organizations.
Agency titles are highly overinflated.
When you compare experience and salaries of client VPs vs agency VPs it’s both humbling and kinda embarrassing for agency side.
Clients don’t want to talk to anyone more junior than an account VP but also don’t want to pay for it
i think bc people expect promotions every year so VP title in 5/6 years makes sense if we follow that mentality…
There used to be a saying at my old agency “VP by thirty” (or about 8 years of FT experience) being the goal for high performers…
Yep same track here. The extra 3 years makes a huge difference. I can’t imagine my direct reports running teams/brand strategy etc. They are awesome & on track to, but it requires time.
Because it’s hard to find talent and they want higher billable rates? (Disclaimer: I have 17 years experience so this is not me justifying my own title lol)
😂 where?
I was a vp in 5 yrs but back then that was not typical. We are in a different working world today.
🚩
I feel like everyone in my social network is a VP of something nowadays.
Title creep is across the industry. Every agency now has multiple ECDs, and Presidents and CEOs who are effectively middle management. And they are all being paid a fraction of what those roles got 10 years ago.
There are agencies doing this?
So many large agencies are doing this.
Super small agencies?
Big agencies actually
