Hi! I just accepted a Relationship Banker II role in Allen, TX. My offer letter was 50k base and 1k guaranteed commission a month first year. I just graduated w a degree in Business Administration. Basically the info I got on how commission works was pretty vague. Anyway I wanted to see what someone I’m their 1st or 2nd year can realistically expect to on average make in commission a year in this role. Also what do bonuses in the role look like? I’m hoping to just hear some ballpark numbers! JPMorgan Chase JPMorgan Chase

It’ll probably take care of itself as more and more potential employers notice your chronic job hopping and decide that you might be a risk.
I've almost tripled my salary in 6 years job hopping. Have at it.
Well done! This is reasonable to me, that’s ~2 years per company. OP is averaging under a year per company.
I don’t get how you do that as a media strategist. In my experience onboarding and onboarding others, it usually takes about ~6 months to fully get up to speed, feel comfortable in your role, and owning your role. You’re not giving yourself a lot of time to really grow and learn if you leave in less than a year.
It may be best to frame some of your older positions as contract or consulting. That seems like a lot.
The best way to “convince” yourself to stay is to get invested in some projects or initiatives that you want to see thru. I have a few things that I’m working on and want to see to fruition. I want to understand my impact so that I have a compelling story to tell.
Also, I personally wouldn’t discriminate against someone based on job hopping. You never know why someone didn’t stick around at a place.
would like to hijack this thread. ive job hopped everytime a clearly much much bigger company reached out to me, it would be insane to say no to. is this still a flag
Brand Lead 1, thanks for such a fantastic answer. Everything makes sense and I will take your advice on making moves for my own growth rather than title
Also remind yourself that within the same company, once you’ve been there for over a year there may be options to do something new— whether it’s through promotion or horizontal changes like changing clients or switching departments. You aren’t trapped doing the same thing forever just because you are at the same company, you just need to talk to your boss.
