I have recently joined EY SaT group as senior consultant recently in Netherlands. I’m tripple masters in MS economics, MBA and MS business analytics. Have 4 YOE in different industries but no M&A experience specifically. Any ideas what company should be offering me? I’ll be working as expert on commercial due diligence, FDD and valuation teams and doing automation alongside. is it wise to demand higher salary or promotion soon after I have proven that I can work and do it better than most?EY

Same thought. 7 yrs experience people promoted as manager with just 2 yr in PwC.
If someone has the merit, why shouldn't they be promoted?
What are we expecting? that even highly capable individuals should wait 20 years to become a Associate Director?
If experience alone were the criterion for executive roles, we wouldn't see so many professionals struggling to retain their positions after the age of 45.
One of my client's CTOs (Chief Technology Officers) is just 29 years old.
This is a great era for talented people to leverage their skills, create impact, and grow rapidly. That said, merit alone is not always enough. Sometimes, having the right network and support system matters too.
By "good contacts," I mean people with good hearts—those who are genuinely happy to see others succeed, rather than feeling threatened by someone achieving success at a young age. Unfortunately, some people acknowledge merit only when it benefits their own careers.
When skill and luck come together, extraordinary success can happen at a very young age. Instead of questioning it, applaud their achievement and continue focusing on your own journey with dedication, gratitude, and consistency. Your day will come too.
I have seen a case where a person was promoted from Manager to Senior Manager and then to Associate Director within just 2 years of joining PwC that too with just 7 years of experience.
The Senior manager role is the same as the Associate director right?
Means both are the same i thought
Associate Director in PwC India means Senior Manager in AC.
I have seen people become Senior Manager in less than 8 years starting as an Associate so it's not uncommon.
