Hi all, I just got a job offer at PwC for a senior consultant position. The salary is 30% above my total comp right now, but I’m just worried about the amount of work I will have to put in compared to my amazing work life balance now. Does anyone have any experience moving from industry to consulting? I need some advice on what to do. I’m still early in my career (1.4yoe) so I feel like I shouldn’t care too much about wlb, but at the same time, I don’t want my mental health to suffer either.

It’s hard . I’m pulling 10-12 hrs daily due ortho/lap surgeries , plus 5-6 hrs at the emergency EOD . I can’t meal prep or workout or even get a decent sleep. Just had to suck it up . Sleep 3-4 hrs , wake up 3am for the gym. Do it all over again. My practice doesn’t seem to care about it so they bicker about it may get in the way of my performance in OR , of course they shut up when I tell them to pay me more .
Wow. How long have you been doing that schedule for?
I understand you, it's exactly the same for me. I always try to do it but I can't get it completely. Somebody help me too!
Personally, I find that it's important to have a solid routine in place. By waking up and going to bed at the same time each day, I'm able to create a habit that makes taking care of myself easier. I try to schedule my workouts for early in the morning, before my day gets busy, and I make sure to pack healthy snacks so I'm not tempted to eat junk food. Of course, there are times when life gets in the way and I can't stick to my usual routine, but overall I find that having a plan helps me stay on track.
To be honest, it was very difficult for me to achieve it and I really needed a lot of discipline because it is very difficult, but I managed to do it by making a schedule and this way I am feeling much better.
It's important to find ways to make it work by setting aside time for exercise each morning or prepping meals over the weekend. If you can find a way to make healthy habits part of your routine, it'll be easier to stick to them in the long run. And eventually, you'll start to feel better and have more energy overall.
For a long time I was meal prepping on weekends but it was taking the very little free time I had. Once I could afford it, I switched to a meal delivery service. It's still difficult to get enough sleep, and I use breaks between clients for stretching.
