since it was smth u planned, id say u drive and she venmos for gas. happy early bday btw
The decision should be based upon competence. The better driver with the better car should drive. Also, consider who is more likely to be in better condition to drive home
I say since it’s your birthday, let her drive for you. But please let her drive in her own car. We don’t wanna get into trouble lol
I don’t really know what this has to do with being a consultant. it was your idea to go to the concert, so you drive.
Have her pay you for gas.
This sounds like a 21 year old's delima. Take a bus, plane or a train and Uber to hotel and event. Share Uber cost and if you all drink, you don't have to worry about driving.
If neither of you care flip a coin? If you don't feel like driving, just ask, "Hey it's my bday do you mind driving? We can call it a present if you'd like." LOL hy are the consultants being asked about this?
I think you are complicating things. Just do more. Be more kind. Be more helpful. This will help you in the long run. Don’t expect anything in return.
You drive. You take her to the concert. Although its your birthday your not entitled to anything. Be kind and helpful. People recognize that.
I agree… your idea your responsibility to drive. If she agrees on gas she reimburses you
I would go with whoever is more fine with driving 4 hours - as in, who is less likely to be tired and would be able to drive safely after the concert.
In terms of splitting the driving cost, it’s good that you offered to split. You could simply have an “i owe you” and next time, you drive. And there’s ways to figure out the gas cost if you really want to pay her now.
And if it's relevant, it's my birthday weekend
What types of cars? I wouldn’t want to take something higher end to a concert plus factor in ride quality etc.
These kind of questions better answered by your. parents, not glassdoor users.
