How do you find time to do marketing/business development? I have a small book already but I’m so bogged down by billables to do meaningful thought leadership. I’m a senior associate now so my practice chair told me I should create a plan to get more thought leadership out. I do have good ideas and I share them via LinkedIn but the thought of putting a blog together when I have work sitting with a deadline kills me. Right now - very little reliable junior help.

I was just laid off. I feel lost, feeling both pumped up for the future but pained because I was a high performing, straight laced, and by the book team member. Our senior creative leadership keep talking about winning Cannes Lions and D&AD pencils but none of them have actually won any since 2007 (that’s 14 years 😭 ) and between all three of them they’ve never won more than a couple of silvers, a couple of bronzes and a couple of in-books (that’s with a combined experience of over 60 years 😭). They have no clue 🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭. Tell me something about your agency so that I can feel better about the hell-hole I find myself in🙏

I believe improving one’s sales conversion rate is something everyone want to improve but no one wants to admit they would like to work it.
