There's really no definite answer. It took me 4.5 years at 2 agencies and then getting hired as an ACD at a new one. I was told I was going to get an ACD role 2 years prior. Just know, you're on your own career path. Don't worry about others. You'll get yours. Just stay sharp and be a pro.
It depends. If you work at a decent agency, usually 3-4 years. But if you work at a digital agency like me, about 1-2 weeks. My intern just got promoted to ECD.
I don’t think it matters. So many millennials are obsessed with getting from point a to point b in x amount of time that they forget to learns stuff along the way. There’s plenty of years in your career, don’t sweat the pace.
Also being an ACD is just like being a senior art except three times the bullshit for barely any salary bump.
