How many billable hours did you record in March? I had to get an early start on quarantine because a co-worker tested positive for COVID-19. So, I’ll start, 155.

Looking at these numbers I’m thinking my billables were low even before Coronavirus.

likefunnyuplifting

65 or so billable and maybe 30 non-billable. I’m transactional and most everything died or went on hold.

61/77 I’m in a firm of just 2 of us doing mostly transactional. We’ve had a few called off but found that most things haven’t been canceled, just kicked down the road a bit

We don’t do billable as we are flat fee (criminal), but I still keep my time as such for record purposes. With the stay at home order, work has gone down, but I still recorded 157.1 billable (mostly from early March when I was prepping for a trial that didn’t happen 🙃).

170

175. I’m in soft IP prosecution so we have a much different rhythm than corporate or lit practices. Clients need their IP maintained even if they’re drawing down on enforcement or adoption of new brands, etc., so we have something of a floor. We’re also a west coast-based firm, so our client base is doing relatively OK compared to NYC.

180 - with about 29 extra in non-billable in posting blogs or state regulator updates. Let it keep going this month!

240 and a ton of nonbillable stuff

Not enough, no. Not my choice — too much stuff.

like

158. Insurance defense lit

Me too... nothing has changed (work-wise) besides no travel time and postponing IMEs...

~240 for March (Labor/employment)

Not slowing down for April either.

205 billable + 130 hours doing FT child care on top of that. Very tired!

174 for March. April will be much lower most likely.

200.. i was supposed to go on vacation at the end of the month so was trying to over compensate for the month... but that feel through

In March I did 157 which is much lower than usual thanks to courts closed

April is gonna be really low for most I anticipate

220 — im in Europe so my target is only 150. Where’s that slowdown?

There’s a practice group that I’ve been trying to find work in but whenever I volunteer to help, I always get roped in to do non billable work. In the beginning it was fine but now I’m feeling it’s never going to amount to actual work. Any tips to get more involved without all the non billables and how to approach this gently?

How would you handle not getting a lunch break when you are a salaried employee treating patients for 40 hours a week? I don’t get documentation time either, but all notes are to be completed the same day. Some of us have reached out to HR and we’re told to discuss it with the regional director, but the regional director says we’d have to come in early or leave late to block out a lunch break. Kind of a new distance runner here (completed my first half mara last month) and am usually run on treadmill for workouts during the week. I also wear an Apple Watch. Have noticed that my Apple Watch tends to say I’ve run a longer distance, at a faster speed, than treadmill. (It’s usually up to 0.5 miles off and 0.5mph off in speed). Anyone experience this? Not sure what to trust but assuming Apple Watch. Thoughts?

If anyone he has done extensive laser hair removal (I’m talking full body), how much did your treatments cost and was it worth it? Okay finance lawyers. I don't understand this issue. Client says books show we're highly profitable but we have no way to pay our tax liability.... Well where the hell did tbe money go ? Client also claims that they are only taking a small portion of the revenue as profit. I don't understand how your books can be different than reality.
