In my experience, it's really about "vetting" fresh-out-of-school vets since they may not have a ton of other markers to go off of.
I don't think what your GPA is matters that much...I think it's more about where you went to school and what your experience is.
A lot of vet schools do have a minimum GPA requirement. But it doesn't really matter in actual practice. Don't worry too much.
Well, it only matters if you want to apply for a program. It will not affect your career.
I don't think so. Unless you have to advance to something that requires GPA standards.
It only matters if you're going for residency or internships. Otherwise it only matters if you're valedictorian. Otherwise no one cares. Don't let grades get in the way of your learning.
Besides applications for internships, nobody has ever asked for my GPA or class ranking. Right now, if you have a D.V.M. and a pulse, you are worth your weight in gold!
Ain't that the truth. We've been short a vet for over 4 months. It's brutal.
I graduated a long time ago, so I'm usually doing the hiring, but I do laugh when new grads put their GPAs on their CVs. No. No one cares.
Never once been asked and I definitely don't/wouldn't include it in a resume. I would find it odd if they asked or wanted to see a transcript.
It doesn't matter at all to be honest. No one is ever going to ask you about your GPA. Unless it is a 3.8 or higher I wouldn't but it on your resume
Doesn't matter, just matters that you get your degree!
