How much is too much? I believe the option to work remotely allows for those who are overemployed to manage their work day more efficiently. Perhaps J1 is on the east coast, and J2 is on the west coast, and then J3 is smack in the middle.

Each job has its own requirements, projects, or responsibilities, and every day brings new challenges. When do you decide it's too much to handle? Is there burnout?

Gave my 2-week notice and Partner has asked me stay an extra 3 days to wrap up a project that I know will be a very long 3 days... I don’t really want to do it but also am afraid of burning bridge. I’m a junior and I have the opportunity to join the employment and benefits group as a specialist. The alternative is VC/M&A.

I’m under the impression that joining the EB group will still give me decent exit ops, has more manageable workflow (less unexpected dumpster fires like in deal-work), and a somewhat better WLB because of my previous point.

Any disagreement/any other things I should consider before deciding?

The first rule of overemployment is dont talk about overemployment to anyone outside your house. :). Second: always protect the main job. Third: As the main job always has the priority, the Second and third jobs must preferably be contract gigs with not too many meetings everyday. Remember: another day, another dollar.
