The teacher shortage is a national crisis (one that was foretold decades ago). In other industries, when there is an employee shortage for a specific field, the company would increase the salary and benefits for that position because of the law of supply and demand. Why doesn't this work for education? Shouldn't teachers be paid more because we are in short supply? Should certain subjects be paid more?

Question for tax folks. So I have purchased shares of a public ally traded partnership. I have received a K1 and it shows my portion of income. I will report on my tax return and pay tax. Let’s say, I sell this investment. What will be my basis in the stock? My purchase price? Or purchase price plus the income I have reported over the years? Offer in hand: HCL 18.5 lpa || NTT data 20 LPA (shifts) || LTI 19 LPA and 1 lakh JB
I want to show counter offer of 20 lpa to LTI and ask for 20% hike that is 24 lpa. Will LTI give that kind of hike ? Please share your advice on this. and also which company to join.
