How much variability is there in partner compensation from year to year within the same firm?

What is LPA location premium allowance mentioned in offer letter?? Is it variable part which we get end of year? Or will it be part of monthly salary?

My technology is Oracle apps technical with 9+ yrs of exp.
I have 3 offers please suggest which one i choose .

TCS 19.5 Lpa ( including fixed + variable+ retention bonus)
Cognizant 18.7 (18fixed)
Wipro 20 (17 fixed + 3v)

I finally got a raise (after 10 years) from 45k to 50k with less than 10k in incentives while others who are just starting at lower positions make more than me..I want to bring this up but don’t want to come off in a bad way considering they finally gave me a raise this year.

I’ve practiced litigation in DC for about 5+ years at a larger plaintiffs’ firm, and am considering a switch to a defense firm. Is there any insight to how many billable hours this would require, and how much time that would actually be? We were recently served a “Notice to Consumer or Employee and Objection” (form subp-025). It says that the requesting party is going to seek our client’s records for examination on June 3, 2020. We would like to stop OC from filing a subpoena at all, because the client doesn’t want the witness they are attempting to subpoena to find out about the lawsuit. Would we file a motion for protective order to do this, and if so, when would we need to file by?

Is 150 billable hours per month little/average/a lot?

Billables are low this month. Like I have 65 billable hours in so far. I’ve messaged partners over the last week to try and get more cases but there are tons of new associates who were just onboarded and were at a low point for business. I’m freaking out

Any advice on switching from litigation to a more advisory role? I like legal research but don’t like the stress of litigation anymore and feel like it’s taking too long for me to get “good” at it.
