Possible
As manager not impossible, but need to bring a solid skillset to come in as manager
KPMG Manager would not come in at Associate, we call MBA hire level Consultant. Depending on circumstances would come in as Consultant with tenure credit or Project Leader.
Agreed - A at McK or C at BCG. Likely with tenure credit.
In Healthcare practice*
Same deal aiming for one year MBA.
It's possible, but will likely involve a step down in tenure (even if pay may be similar given higher MBB pay scales). Definitely doesn't mean it's easy, but it is possible.
I had an offer from McKinsey is a similar position but you are likely to get an offer as an associate getting the same comp as a new MBA hire.
It isn't a lateral move in that way and you may take a pay hit
@bcg1, McK associate = BCG consultant; McK business analys = BCG associate. So Pc1 was right- they could come in at the post-MBA level. And the example given above was for McK
Salary was approx 140k at McK for associate with generous bonus structure
I was told I could advance a level per year up to EM - similar to what BCG3 indicated
It took 6 months for me to go through the interview process. So I would be prepared that to complete the test, cases and interviews is a long process if you are engaged on a project and travelling every week. McK moved fast but only having Fridays to freely schedule, I was the bottleneck given the hours I was working, travel and then doing the case prep.
I actually just did this at the consultant level. Not impossible but super challenging since many of the interviews for these firms are tailored to an MBA candidate.
