How soon into the new year will agencies start hiring more frequently? Starting to get discouraged with the lack of open roles 😔

Hi! I started at a new company 2 months ago and while I’m really enjoying my job so far, I’m having a hard time gauging whether or not I’m doing a “good job.” My role seems to be always evolving, which is fine and I actually enjoy being a support to the greater marketing team, but I feel like I need better defined targets to make sure I’m meeting expectations. Also, when I ask my boss what they’d like to see, I don’t ever get a clear answer. (Cont’d in comments)

Let’s say I have an offer for an entry level position at a Tier 2 firm.. and I am currently a second year consultant at Accenture. Would it be worth it to move?

Any advice for a 3rd year risk assurance associate looking to break into a consulting role? I feel like I don’t quite have the tech experience (knowledge of SQL, Java, etc. ) and i don’t quite have the accounting knowledge being that we’re in IT. . Anyone make the switch ? It’s so nice that every agency laying off people, have those left standing (and other agencies) trying to hustle jobs for their unemployed friends, but there are also a ton of people who were unemployed prior to Covid...so no severance, job hunting lot longer, and not earning income for longer time...hurting even MORE due to quarantine.
