I’d say choose on the basis of the people you met over perceived prestige on Fishbowl. It will drive your long term success and happiness.
But, and I hate to negotiate against us - if you’re the type that values prestige over people, Kearney probably isn’t the nest place for you.

Yeah that's understandable
Kearney experience will be the most like MBB. It has the widest variety of practice areas. As noted they have a lot of strength in ops and procurement but have a presence pretty much every where. It’s also a true partnership and not associated with an accounting firm. Anecdotally I’ve met the most ex Kearney people at BCG. They all said the culture was great. I’ve also seen us go head to head with them on proposals more than the others.
I’m not as familiar with LEK but my understanding is they’re strong in a few areas but have little to no presence in others. Working on multiple projects as a junior person sounds awful for WLB and for delivery though.
I’d rank EYP and S& last because they’re part of big 4 and all that entails.
BCG2 tell us how is operations and procurement and sourcing work close to MBB work as you are saying.
LEK would pay the most out of those listed options but WLB probably is the worst. Lateral hiring to MBB is very good form LEK though, if you wanted, could easily go to MBB from here.
wondering how bad it is for WLB at LEK? like what’s average weekly hours like and how frequent is weekend works?
Absolutely you can. The firm offers significant flexibility to move across practices, even geographies for that matter. Of all your choices Kearney is a true partnership. LEK option 2 but subscale.

TBH if you want to pivot out of strategic operations, supply chain, procurement etc. Kearney is probably not the best place for you to be. It makes up a large bulk of the work we do, even if you do switch practices
So much for unbiased opinion 😊 ..each person promotes their employer.
Based on your responses, it seems like you aren’t fully informed on these companies yet. You need to reach out to your friends and connections from these firms and have 1:1 calls with them. I wouldn’t worry about whether partner called you to give the offer etc. those details won’t matter in the future.

Thank you 😌
What type of work do you want to do? What practice are you in at S&? EY-P or LEK for CDD, and I think LEK hires for higher caliber people, I have seen some people with absolutely incompetent people get hired by EY P recently, losing respect for them. S& is more well rounded project experience wise, mixed bag in terms of culture tho. I think all of these firms can be sweatshoppy (maybe less EY P since they have diluted away from the CDD focus). Kearney i honestly dont know much about, is it true they still do a lot of Sourcing work? That work has no appeal to me tbh
Heard S& has relatively better WLB, but more travels. Wondering how frequent travelling is at S& for corporate strategy team?
LEK, no brainer. Congrats friend!

Okay thanks
Are you at LEK?

How does this thread have 65 replies.
Yeah, making a corporate job (part of) your identity is pretty sad
@PM What’s the post mba comp at EYP? Have an offer from Kearney as well
Rising Star
😳😅 okay thanks M2
That helps
does anyone know how feasible PE is from EY-P?
I would put EY-P and LEK tied after MBB for PE, and then S& after, and then Kearney last.
OP, I bet you chose Parthenon 😉😏
