Morale seems very low at the moment. Haven't had any lay offs except contract recruiters.
Update after the interview - they’re freezing the role 😂
Makes sense.. if they can’t make people billable in these roles, they will most likely freeze hiring to avoid layoffs and use the existing talent pool. I see a lot of folks in Business Strategy engaged either in a non-billable or less than 50% billable roles just to get the foot at the door with the Client Business Teams and later propose expansion.
I interviewed for a Salesforce Systems Engineer position with them a few months ago and the experience was pretty bad to be honest. The first interview with leadership was great, but the next two technical interviews were lightning round non-stop technical questions for 45 minutes straight with only 30 seconds allotted to each answer. Felt like I was taking the Admin exam. The team I interviewed with seemed frazzled and annoyed they were asked to interview a candidate — really left a bad taste in my mouth about the mothership altogether.
Ah bummer! I interviewed with Mulesoft a while back for a customer success position and it was a pretty bad experience as well. This position is in their business strategy so we will see, hoping it’s not as bad. I’m sure like everywhere, it’s very position dependent.
What's the role?
You will do a lot better work at Strategy& as compared to Business Strategy (under professional services) at Salesforce, primary reason being the forced bias towards the Salesforce products and services plus Business Strategy people end up supporting the pre-sales work to scale the size of the engagements, so not ‘exactly’ the strategy work that you, perhaps, are doing today.

Thanks! I would say I’m underpaid since I have never jumped since graduating college which is definitely part of it. Would imagine it’s better for someone coming in with experience

Yesss. I did at least get the TC too which was a lot lower than what I was expecting, so probably not a good fit anyways.
