I check my bag, so I enjoy when people, lazy enough to check their bag, struggle to put them in the overhead because my backpack is there. I probably enjoyed your struggle at some point as well.
I always check a bag, and backpack goes up top. Got to stretch my legs! Oh and who cares about the extra time, when you get older things start going out easier and hurting. My back is worth so much more than a few extra minutes at the client site.
