I absolutely despise people who place their backpacks, small enough to fit under the seats, in the overhead bins. Ok, I can sit some slack if backpack is the only item they are carrying onboard.

I check my bag, so I enjoy when people, lazy enough to check their bag, struggle to put them in the overhead because my backpack is there. I probably enjoyed your struggle at some point as well.

I always check a bag, and backpack goes up top. Got to stretch my legs! Oh and who cares about the extra time, when you get older things start going out easier and hurting. My back is worth so much more than a few extra minutes at the client site.

The world would be a better place if we just all universally shunned people who put two items up top.

A backpack up top isn’t an issue as long as it’s your only bag. It’s when people take more than one space that society breaks down.

like

Lol. You are such a time waster @pwc1. It saves so much time to travel light and to travel without checking in. You lose time waiting at the luggage point to get your stuff

M1 nope. If we all check our bags, boarding will be a breeze. It is a win win. Noodle on that.

I have been searching for a travel card for months. I am a young guy who is looking to take advantage of credit and earn points at the same time. Cap One just released an interesting new premium travel card with a lot of seemingly good perks (Venture X). I also looked at the CSP and the Southwest Priority card. My girlfriends family has Southwest and swear by it, with companion pass being the differentiator. I am in the DMV area and have mostly flown Jet Blue or Southwest. Any thoughts on this?

Additional Posts in Consulting

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.
