I am a consultant with EY Luxembourg and currently hold job offers from Deloitte and PwC based in Luxembourg. I was expecting a promotion this year, however it has been delayed. The promotion cycles are usually slow here and I just wanted to ensure if I am making the right choice. Is anyone aware about the month in which the promotions become effective in Deloitte, PwC and KPMG in Luxembourg? Also do they have the promotion cycles mid-year or just annually?

I currently do planning system implementation at SC level. Quite technical stuff and less PMO. What are my future career possibilities from here onwards? Can I keep progressing in the standard ladder and keep doing implementations, or is it automatically going to end up becoming more are more sales oriented and less actual implementation work? Especially interested in the SM level and above. I’d prefer staying at Big 4 and avoid the supplier side.

I went to a T14 law school, got great grades and glowing recommendations, and wrote (what I thought was) a great writing sample. But I got rejected from all 70 federal clerkships I applied to. The only thing I can think of is: I took a non traditional route after law school and did a 2 year public interest fellowship in a niche field of administrative law. The rejection gave me a lot of self hatred. I still really want to clerk. Any advice? What is wrong with me? I feel like a failure.
