Hello, I have an offer from Publicis Sapient for their product management internship program. Wondering if anyone has any insight into the program (exits, etc) and how the return offer looks like in terms of salary. I still also hold an interest in data science so might go with another offer but I’m not sure if it is a wise choice to let go of a PM offer while I have it.
Hey there!
I am a Masters Student majoring in Machine Learning. I am in my first semester and I am kind leaning to explore Data Science as well. Could any Professional Data Scientists help me out on getting started? What skills do I focus on? What kind of projects should I have on my portfolio?
I have tried looking this info out in the internet but its all overwhelming. Hoping to get some honest guidance here!

I would check with your academic advisor and see if they'll help you get a meeting with an advisor over finance. With some of those majors, it can be hard to switch over mid-year because pre-req courses are only offered in fall, for example. So if you need to take, say, and three-course accounting series and you miss the first course in fall, you have to wait until the next fall to start that series. It's messy. Hopefully your school doesn't have anything like that.
Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant is an Associate Degree where you could use the classes that you have already completed to get a degree more quickly. Many hospital employers will pay over $5,000 per year of your college costs. That may help you too. Non-Profit careers and Government careers add discounts to your federal loans as well.
It's good that you're thinking about this early in your schooling. The sooner you recognize the need to change, the better. Was your heart very set on PT? If not, then go ahead and make the switch. Finance is certainly more likely to make paying of debt easier assuming you enjoy it enough to stick with it. I second the suggestion to visit with your advisor, though. Those in-person conversations can be so helpful.
No, to be honest with you, my heart was never really set up on Physical Therapy, I just thought that it paid good and had a decent work life balance. I enjoy finance and want to become an advisor/asset manager one day, but am confused what path to take. Should I do a masters in finance and get a CFP afterwards or just do a bachelors? - since I understand that finance has a lot of competition with only a bachelors degree.
