I am in the process of interviewing for a strategy role in a large tech company. Already did a few rounds, and was told today that they work with one of the MBB closely for strategy work and the hiring manager wants me to interview with the partner of the mbb firm they work with. Has anyone gone through this process where u r pursuing an internal consulting role but they are asking mbb to interview you?

Do T2 consulting firms (think Kearney, OW) and MBB hire experienced professionals WITHOUT MBA (I.e., is a prestigious MBA mandatory in the region?). I already have a post-MBA position

I have an informational interview with a Managing Director on Friday about a manager role. I currently serve in a client services role and do not have traditional consulting experience (billable hours, etc.). Additionally, while I’ve worked with McKinsey, Accenture, McKesson, and other teams on major projects, I don’t have experience putting together the strategy, more of a support function. Feeling a tad intimidated! Any tips would be so very appreciated!
